Google Workspace Data

When You connect a Google account, We access the following data through Google APIs to provide the Service:

  • Gmail: Email messages, threads, labels, metadata, and attachments — used to sync, categorize, and surface your inbox, and to enable the AI agent to draft and send emails on your behalf.
  • Google Calendar: Calendar events, attendees, conference links, and free/busy availability — used to display upcoming events and enable the AI agent to create, update, and delete events on your behalf.
  • Google Drive: File metadata and content (Docs, Sheets, Slides, PDFs, images, and other file types) — used to build a searchable index of your files and enable the AI agent to read and edit documents.
  • Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides: Document content and structure — accessed via their respective APIs to enable reading and editing of workspace documents.
  • Google Contacts: Contact names, email addresses, profile photos, and relationship data — used to enrich people profiles and auto-complete recipients.

Usage Data

We automatically collect Usage Data when you access the Service. This may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Time and date of access
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Device information (mobile type, OS, identifiers)

How We Use Your Data

We use Your Personal Data to:

We do not use text message opt-in data for any other purposes or share it with third parties.

Use of AI Technology

We utilize third-party AI technologies, provided by Our service partners, to power Feather's AI-enabled features. Google Workspace API Data

Feather's use of data obtained through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google Workspace data to provide or improve user-facing features of the Service.
  • We do not use Google Workspace data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
  • We do not transfer Google Workspace data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
  • We do not use Google Workspace data for serving advertisements.
  • Human access to Google Workspace data is limited to cases where it is necessary to provide the Service, is permitted by the user, is required for security purposes, or is required to comply with applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain Your Personal Data only as long as necessary to:

  • Serve You for the intended purpose of the service provided
  • Fulfill the purposes described in this policy
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce agreements

When You disconnect Your Google account or delete Your Feather account, We will delete Your Google Workspace Data from Our systems within a commercially reasonable time.

Usage Data is retained for shorter periods unless used for security or functionality enhancements.

Feather complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), as well as the anticipated UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF), as established by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission. These frameworks govern the collection, use, and retention of personal data transferred from the European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland to the United States.

We have certified Our adherence to the Data Privacy Framework Principles with respect to such data. In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Data Privacy Framework Principles, the latter shall prevail. Feather may be held accountable under the DPF Principles if a third-party agent processes personal data in a manner inconsistent with those principles on Our behalf.
